Working in partnership with Jackson Civil Engineering, JOS delivered the FRC works to help to protect the Bewdley area from storm events which have previously inundated the area with flooding. This scheme will benefit 50 properties and maintain access to the businesses for decades to come. (Gov.uk, 2025)
JOS completed the FRC works associated with the 300-metre flood defence alongside the River Severn, which included FRC walls and pile caps for temporary barriers to placed in flood events, reinforced concrete slabs and fixings for flood gates.
The work was carried out in a sequential manner in small sections to assist Jackson in minimising disruption by maintaining highway and foot traffic through the area.
