We are offering an exciting Degree Apprenticeship opportunity for an ambitious individual who is keen to develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a fully qualified Civil Engineer. As a Civil engineer you will play a critical role in managing construction projects, ensuring we deliver our works, safely, to the right quality, on time and within budget.
About the Role:
As a Degree Apprentice Civil Engineer you will work alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of civil engineering, including:
Understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings and specification with specific emphasis on reinforced concrete structures.
Managing your personal workload and that of site teams through allocation and procurement of resources (labour, plant, materials, sub-contractors and temporary works)
Understanding the health, safety, environmental, quality and sustainability requirements for working on construction sites and planning works around these constraints.
Successfully communicating with Client's, colleagues and sub-contractors at different levels of skill and understanding using differing forms of communication.
Contributing to the commercial success of schemes and the wider business through measuring works for payment and helping create best value.
Planning, programming and sequencing construction works.
Throughout the apprenticeship, you'll be studying for a fully funded degree in Civil Engineering with one day at university during term time. As part of the Degree Apprenticeship you will be working towards Incorporated Engineer status with the Institution of Civil Engineers which culminates in an End Point Assessment. This is an excellent opportunity to gain both academic qualifications and practical experience in a professional setting.
What We Are Looking For:
Educational Requirements:
A strong academic background with A-levels (or equivalent) in relevant subjects such as Maths and Sciences, or a Level 3 qualification (BTEC, NVQ, etc.). This is to allow you to enrol on the relevant Civil Engineering course.

An keen interest in civil engineering and the built environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Proactive, motivated, and eager to learn.
